ORU KAL ORU KANNADI FILM REVIEW - OK ...

        

Two kind of creators in cinema ... One set of people wants to do or experiment new things on every film where as other set of creators will only do what they are capable of ... Without say director rajesh coming under second category and did justice to that by giving through out comedy entertainer ...

Nothing is there to say about story ... Saravanan ( Uthayanithi  Stalin ) is working with Sathyam cinemas and roaming like a son of sathyam cinema's owner along with his friend Partha ( Santhanam ) ... One day he met Meera ( Hansikha ) at traffic signal and fell in love at first sight as usual ... He never changed his mind even though Meera is a daughter of Deputy commissioner of Police ( Shiaji shinde ) ... What else will happen next except couple are joining together in the climax ...

                                     

Uthayanithi impress the audience slowly and close up scenes reveals that he is new to acting ... He needs to watch his dancing even though scores on certain scenes with his casual acting ... Hansika is big on the screen but the same cannot be said for her acting ... Santhanam is a real hero as he is carrying the entire film on his shoulder with his style of counter dialogues and mannerisms ... 

                                      

Saranya once again proven why she was given national award ... The plot between saranya and azhagam perumal is nice ... Hariis jayaraj's music already leading the chats , particularly " Venam machan " is a foot stepping number ....

We can enjoy the entire film even though scenes without santhanam are lagging ... Director has dealt with the same story of his previous films ... Rajesh can give films like Kathalikka neramillai , Ullatthai alli tha if he makes a comedy film with strong story line instead of just creating comedy scenes and inserting a story ... Let us see in his next film ...

Nallathor Veenai - My Tamil short film ...

I had been seriously thinking to direct one short film for the past few years but was not to do that due to other commitments ... In fact i had a story to shoot during the launch of " NALAIYA IYAKKUNAR " Program at Kalaignar Tv , that also never happened ...


Life was just moving around cine reviews till my friend Moondram konam shahi suggested me to review short film for tamil web magazine ' Moonramkonam " ... My intensity had increased after watching few short films for review purpose ...

I grabbed  the opportunity when Nesam + Udanz announced competition for Story , Composition and Short film on Cancer awareness ... I had decided to direct my first short film for good cause ...

Thanks to god as i was able to finish my venture within two days even though other works and time duration disturbed me lot ... I take this post to thank my leading artist Seshan , cinematographer Anandh chaari , Editor Karthick and music director Udhay apart from each and every one who worked on this short film with me ...

Once again thanking Nesam + Udanz group for selected my short film to promote cancer awareness and given prize for short film " Nallathor Veenai " ... Hope everybody who has been supporting my blog may also support my new role as a film maker ... Please find the link below ...

3 FILM REVIEW - Aishwarya Danush's Kolaveri ...

                          
There is no doubt that Combination of Supers star's son in law and Super actor's daughter with the direction of none other than Super star's daughter , The " Kolaveri di " song which turns danush like a Obama in over night , Aggressive marketing and attractive posters creates a record opening for this movie but it makes us to ask " Why this kolaveri " to the director of the film AISHWARYA DHANUSH after watching the movie ... 


Film starts with a death scene of danush and establishes through the flashback of shruthi ... Ram (Danush) is a son of rich industrialist , Janani ( Shruthi ) is a girl from a family which aspires to settle in Us ... fate has other plans when both of them started loving each other from 12th standard. Five years later , One fine day both of them gets married at pub against their family will ... Life goes peacefully till ram finds he has bio polar disorder which disturbs him mentally and turns him violent without control ... What happens next is what 3 is all about..

Danush performs well as a school student and as well as married man but character of later resembles his earlier movie " Maykkam enna " ... He has to check his monotonous roles ... He is very lucky not for his national award or the status of Super star's son in law but after his father and brother the way his wife too gives him an opportunity to acts close with the beautiful girl shruthi ...

Acting is coming naturally to shruthi , she is even better than danush as a school going girl but making her to cry too often on screen is irritating ... Siva karthikeyan scores well as his timings are well appreciated by the audience but nothing is special about other friend sundar ... Prabhu , Rohini , Banupriya everybody fits for the bill ... After Ilayaraja , Rahman now its time for young music director Aniruth to run his career with massive success even after completed just one film ... apart from kolaveri other melodies are also too nice but the same can not be said for his re recording , he has miles to go ... It seems that editor slept for a while during editing as lots of jumps are there unnecessarily  ...

         
Aishwarya danush tried her first attempt with the mixture of love and mystery ... She does a neat job in the first half when narrates the love between danush and shruthi during school days but she miserably fails in the second half as does not know how to take the movie forward ...

How can parents leave their kids just like that ? danush never makes any attempt to reveal his mental depression even to his parents as he lives in flat donated by his father prabhu and beloved wife ,  Scene of danush knots mangal sutra to shruthi at the pub is unnecessary and should have been avoided , Hang over from " Mayakkam enna " , so many scenes are running without re recording is giving a feel of watching a documentary , Aishwarya danush should have given some importance to story like the way she gave to promote the song .. Sorry Aish better luck next time ...
